5 vols. Quarto (each approx. 300 x 210 mm), pp.[60]; [256]; [160]; [84]; [84]. Illustrated throughout with colour and black-and-white photographs. Photo-illustrated wrappers; light wear to edges, marking to bottom edges offset from box, bump to fore-edge of issue 1. Numbered edition sheet signed by all five editors laid in as issued. Original printed paper-covered board box; lightly worn. A just about near-fine set.
 
First editions of Useful Photography 1-5 in a box, limited to 100 sets signed by all five editors. Each volume presents a different selection of vernacular and utilitarian photography. The first contains a varied selection of photographs presented without captions and divorced from their original contexts. The second gathers photographs of objects used in ebay listings. The third is dedicated to missing people. The fourth contains photographs of Palestinian memorial posters. Volume five is dedicated to prize bull Lord Lilly and a selection of his offspring, each animal photographed using a global standard method which demonstrates the qualities of different breeds.
